African and Black Diaspora Voices Contribute to UNAIDS Strategy Virtual Consultations

UNAIDS is hosting a virtual consultation March 23-27 2015 on the UNAIDS Strategy 2016-2021 and ABDGN strongly encourages stakeholders from our communities and networks to participate in this critical dialogue.

The first of two consultations, these discussions are organized around four themes: Reinforcing Achievements; Closing the Gaps; Seizing the Game-Changers; and a Youth Forum.

Highlighting issues around the racialized aspects of the epidemic and response, insufficient indicators to measure or capture migrant and diaspora communities and their health status, and improved funding for building ABD community infrastructures within and across regions are some examples of the feedback we can provide to UNAIDS as we move towards a final strategy for October 2015.
