APPLY NOW! DEADLINE APRIL 15! TEACH Technical Advisors

ABDGN encourages Trans-identified people from the African and Black Diaspora to apply for an exciting new program launched by IRGT-A Global Network of Trans Women and HIV and the Global Forum on Men who have sex with Men (MSMGF) called TEACH: Trans Education +Action = Capacity for Health

TEACH is a program designed to build skills and capacities for trans-led organizations to successfully apply for grant funds to implement coordinated HIV responses for trans key populations. ABDGN supports this innovative and timely program due to the disproportionate impacts of HIV amongst Black trans women. A systematic review in 2013 indicated that 56% of black/African American transgender women had positive HIV test results compared to 17% of white or 16% of Hispanic/Latina transgender women. As a result, building the technical skills and capacities for trans-identified people from the African and Black Diaspora is critical for building stronger civil society action within our communities.
